Easter is Just Three Weeks Away – Here’s What You Need to Do Now!
Can you believe it? Easter is only three weeks away! As we enter the final stretch of preparation, it's time to focus on making sure everything is in place for an impactful and smooth Easter weekend. Whether it's organizing volunteers, rehearsing services, or finalizing communication efforts, we’ve got you covered.
If you haven’t already, now is the time to download your Free Weekly Easter Checklist and start ticking off the tasks. Here are some key items to focus on this week:
Services: Plan, Prepare, and Rehearse
1. Create a detailed roster
It’s time to create a detailed service roster. Fill in all available volunteer spots and be sure to reach out to people to fill any remaining roles. This includes ushers, communion servers, production crew, worship team, and those involved in speaking elements.
2. Rehearse your message
If you haven’t already, now is the perfect time to rehearse your Easter message. Make sure to get feedback from trusted team members and add any elements to enhance the message or service flow.
3. Finalize your service flow
Make sure you have the service flow with timing completed, including every team (ushers, communion, production, worship, and speaking elements) accounted for. This will ensure a smooth and coordinated experience for everyone involved!
Communication: Spread the Word
1. Schedule and monitor social posts/ads & email newsletters
Your communication efforts are crucial for reaching guests and church members. This week, focus on scheduling social media posts, ads, and email newsletters about your Easter services and events.
2. Prepare printed materials
Have guest service materials ready for Easter. Ensure brochures or invites are available for people to take, either at guest services, in seats, or handed out by ushers.
Kids Ministry: Get the Easter-Specific Team Ready
1. Create a specific Easter roster for kids ministry
Create a dedicated Easter-specific roster and start filling all spots with regular volunteers. Be sure to reach out to your volunteers individually to confirm their availability and commitment for Easter services. Avoid group messages, as personal communication is key!
Guest Services: Call for Extra Hands
1. Send out a Google Form for volunteers
If you're adding additional services for Easter, it’s time to recruit more volunteers. Send out a Google Form to help people sign up to serve at extra services. Be sure to provide clear details on available roles to make it easy for volunteers to commit.
With just three weeks to go, staying organized and focused is key to making this Easter a success. Use the Free Weekly Easter Checklist to stay on top of all your tasks and ensure your church is ready for a smooth Easter weekend.
